Amy Root

I am so very excited to be a part of Tranquility Yoga & Fitness. I was first introduced to yoga a few years after losing my son. I walked out of the studio with spiritual awakening and my body feeling amazing. For the first time since my son’s passing, the heavy sadness I carried with me was lifted a little each time I went to class. My love of yoga continues and my dream to open a studio has finally come to fruition. I hope that others may find peace and wellness attending our classes.

Micaela Whitaker

With an extensive background in running and fitness, I always thought yoga would be fun and easy. After my first class I found it was NOT as easy as I imagined, but the true surprise was the sense of peace and joy I found. My practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires me to live each moment more mindfully.

In my classes, I love to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness, and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. I sent to help others thrive in life by nurturing their body, mind and soul with yoga. My hope is you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.

My hope is that Tranquility is more than just a place to get fit. I want it to be a supportive and welcoming community, where we encourage each other to do and be our best. I want Tranquility to be a place where you can leave your worries, stress and judgements behind, and devote time to YOU. You are worth it!

Rebecca Bosma

As a wife, a mom of two with one on the way, and a business owner, I find that life gets spinning faster and faster. Sometimes we need a moment. Sometimes we need more. Yoga is a great place to re-center and grow. Grow in strength and beauty, and learn to grow our capacity for all that life will send our way.

Hope to see you on the mat, achieving your goals.

Maria Perez, RYT 200

Yoga has been a part of my life for 10 years.  It has grounded me and taught me to live a mindful life.  I believe that yoga is much more than a workout, it is an important tool to help attain balance in a hectic life.

I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training at the Community Yoga School in Yakima, Washington March of 2020.  In my training, I learned of the many styles of yoga there are.  The focus at the Community Yoga School was gentle yoga that is welcoming to all levels of students.  I am deeply grateful for the wisdom and knowledge my yoga teachers shared with me.  My favorite style to teach is gentle yoga with a little vinyasa in the middle.

In my classes, I combine gentle sequences that focus on balance and the breath.  It is my belief that yoga is attainable to all.  I believe that asanas, or yoga poses, are unique to the individual.  I invite you to explore the many variations available.  My goal is for you to leave my class feeling both refreshed and peaceful.
